Coast Guard Unit Commendation

 Congratulations, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary! June 23, 2019 marked your 80th anniversary! Since 1939 you have been ready, willing, and able to support Coast Guard missions while sharing your knowledge, experience, and resources with generations of Coast Guard shipmates. To mark this presitgious milestone and recognize the Auxiliary's ever-expanding legacy of devoted service, the following highlights have recently occurred: Having rightfully earned the moniker of the world's premiere maritime volunteer service along with the highest respect and admiration of the international maritime public, all Coast Guard Auxiliarists who have served at least one day during the period June 24, 2014 to June 23, 2019 are awarded the Coast Guard Unit Commendation. This award has been signed by the Commandant of the Coast Guard, Admiral Karl Schultz. Appropriate AUXDATA entries will be made by the Chief Director of Auxiliary office to all active member records

 As part of the 75 anniversary celebration of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Admiral Zukunft, U.S.Coast Guard Commandant, presented the Coast Guard Unit Commendation to the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. This award was presented “for exceptionally meritorious service from June 24, 2009 to June 23 2014, while providing unprecedented levels of dedicated public service and operational support to the U.S. Coast Guard’s missions”. All Auxiliarists who served during this time span are eligible to receive the citation and to wear the ribbon with pride.
